Brondby will look to make a big comeback in the Conference League tie with Vikingur Reyjkavik when they welcome the Icelanders to their Brondby Stadion on Thursday evening. Brondby struggled defensively in the first leg (0-3), but they should not be written off just yet as Vikingur are not regarded as good travellers. As Frederik Birk’s troops are likely to go all-out attack in the second leg, a high-scoring contest is on the cards.
The Brondby boss has a luxury to field the best possible side against Vikingur. The Icelanders, on the other hand, are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach in the second leg in order to defend their three-goal lead. Brondby, though, have turned their stadium into a real fortress, and we expect them to at least pull level on aggregate by the end of regular time. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Denmark.
