Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Fiorentina play host to Sivasspor at their Stadio Artemio Franchi in the Europa Conference League last 16, first leg. The Viola are on a three-game winning run in all competitions, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Serbia striker Luka Jovic is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in the 2-1 win over Milan, as well as his compatriot Nikola Milenkovic, whereas yet another Serbia international Aleksa Terzic remains in the recovery room.
The Turks, on the other hand, have been handed a tough draw in the Conference League last 16, and seeing that Fiorentina have turned their Stadio Artemio Franchi into a real fortress, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the Serie A side. Nigeria forward Leke James is widely expected to return to Sivasspor’s starting XI after scoring a brace on his return from injury at the weekend, while all Yalcin, Yatabare, and Osmanpasa should miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Christian Kouame):
Christian Kouame is an Ivory Coast international who has been playing for Serie A side Genoa since 2018. Kouame started his youth career at Prato and after ending his loan spells with the likes of Sassuolo and Inter, he returned to Stadio Lungobisenzio.
The 185-cm-tall forward made his professional debut with Prato on September 6, 2015 in a 2-1 loss to Pisa. Christian Kouame started the match, but he was replaced by Alberto Aladje after 66 minutes. The Genoa attacker, though, has yet to earn a call-up for the Ivory Coast national team. He has two caps for the Ivory Coast U23 team, but he is still eyeing his senior team debut.
His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. The Genoa footballer was born in Abijan on December 6, 1997 and he has a contract with the Rossoblu until June 30, 2023.
Highlighted Team (Sivasspor):
Sivasspor is a Turkish football club based in the city of Sivas. The Red and Whites have been competiting in the Super Lig since 2005, but they have yet to win the domestic trophy. The club’s biggest came in the 2008/09 season when they finished the campaign in the second position in the standings, five points behind champions Besiktas.
As a result, they represented Turkey in the Champions League third qualifying round. Anderlecht proved to be a big catch for the Yigidolar in the qualifiers for the elite competition and, to make things even worse for the fans, the Red and Whites were beaten by Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League playoffs as well.
Sivasspor welcome their rivals at Sivas Stadium, which can hold up to 27,532 spectators. Max Gradel, Arouna Kone and Mustapha Yatabare are the notable players who play for the clubs. Sivasspor were founded on May 9, 1967.
