Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Allianz Riviera will host Thursday’s Conference League game between Nice and Koln, the two teams who meet in a competitive match for the first time since December 1973. Back then Koln proved to be a big catch for Nice, but a close encounter is on the cards this time out. Les Aiglons have been struggling to find their form in the new Ligue 1 campaign, with the team recording no more than one win in the process. Kasper Dolberg is no longer part of the team as he joined Sevilla in the summer transfer window, and, in his absence, Algeria forward Andy Delort will lead the line for the hosts. His compatriot Youcef Atal has joined Bilal Brahimi in the recovery room, while Mario Lemina is back from a domestic ban.
The Billy Goats, on the other hand, continue life without Anthony Modeste, who signed for Borussia Dortmund. Koln proved their worth in a 4-2 win over Wolfsburg at the weekend, and, taking everything into account, we believe that they are capable of holding Nice to a draw at Allianz Riviera. All Uth, Schmitz, Olesen, Limnios, Chabot, and Andersson should miss out with injuries for the visiting side.
