Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Mestsky stadion v Ostrave-Vitkovicich will be the centre of attention when Ostrava and Celje lock horns in the Conference League playoffs, second leg. Ostrava need a big win in the reverse fixture to sneak into the group stages, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for Pavel Hapal’s troops. Filip Kubala remains on the sidelines with injury for the home team, while new signing Srdjan Plavsic is pushing for a start after coming as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Slovacko at the weekend.
Celje, meanwhile, will fight tooth and nail to defend their one-goal lead in Czech Republic. Albert Riera’s men, though, are not regarded as good travellers and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Ostrava’s party at “Mestsky stadion”. Speaking of the visiting team, Mark Zabukovnik is unlikely to feature in Thursday’s clash after suffering a knee injury in the first leg. Darko Hrka is widely expected to replace him in the starting eleven.
