All eyes will be on Tallaght Stadium when St. Patrick’s and CSKA Sofia face each other in the return leg of the Conference League third qualifying round. The Saints did well to shock CSKA in Bulgaria, with substitute Serge Atakayi scoring the only goal of the match, and the Irish are now on a quest to defend their slim lead on home soil. Adam Murphy has been struggling with injury of late, but he should be the only absentee in the home team.
The Bulgarians, on the other hand, failed to impress in the first leg, with the team having no more than six goal attempts, and seeing that the Saints are tough to beat at home, we do not believe that Sasa Ilic’s men are capable of overcoming the deficit in Dublin. The former Cukaricki boss has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to Ireland.

Thomas Lam is a footballer who can play as both centre back and defensive midfielder. Lam was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 18 December, 1993, but seeing that his mother is Finnish, he was eligible to play for the Finland national team.
After making 11 appearances for the Finland U21 team, he made his debut for the senior team on 9 June, 2015, in a friendly against Estonia. He started the game, but the Finns suffered a 2-0 loss to the Estonians in Turku. Speaking of his club career, Thomas Lam played for AZ Alkmaar between 2011 and 2014 and then he joined fellow Eredivisie side Zwolle.
The 188-cm-tall footballer scored four goals in 64 appearances for the club and in July 2016 he signed a contract with Nottingham Forest. Lam won the KVNB Cup with AZ Alkmaar in 2013 and he was named Promising Player of the Year in 2011. His agent is world-famous Mino Raiola and his contract with Forest expires on 30 June, 2018.

CSKA Sofia are a Bulgarian football club that welcome their rivals at Bulgarian Army Stadium. The Armymen are well known for their red shirts, while they wear white jerseys on the travels. The Reds won their 31st national championship in the 2007/08 season, with the team finishing the process 16 points clear of the second-place Levski Sofia.
CSKA have won 20 Bulgarian Cup titles (last in 2016). Levski Sofia are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two teams. CSKA made it to the Champions League semis on two occasions.
In the 1966/67 campaign the Armymen were more than unfortunate not to beat Inter in the semifinals, with the team losing to Bayern Munchen 7-4 (on agg.) in their second attempt to go all the way in the elite competition. CSKA Sofia’s home ground was opened in 1967, and it can hold up to 22,995 spectators.
