Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Valur and Bodo go head to head at Hildarendi in the Europa League second qualifying round, first leg. Valur failed to impress in the Champions League double-header with Dinamo Zagreb, and they will have a mountain to climb in Thursday’s clash as well. Since Heimir Gudjonsson’s men failed to impress in their last league match as well, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the home team.
Bodo, on the other hand, were eliminated by Legia of Poland in the Champions League first qualifying round. The Norwegian champions are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful CL campaign, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Even though all Boniface, Solbakken, and Sorli remain on the sidelines with injuries, we are tempted to put our money on Bodo, who impressed in the 2020 Eliteserien campaign.
