There will be fireworks when AEK Athens and Olympique Marseille face each other at OPAP Arena in the Group B derby. AEK Athens have a chance to climb to top position in the standings, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for the Yellow-Blacks. First-choice goalkeeper Cican Stankovic misses out through suspension, whereas Iran defender Ehsan Hajsafi has yet to overcome his injury.
OM, on the other hand, played out a boring goalless draw with Lille at the weekend, but they are surely capable of matching AEK in the Greek capital. As Marseille were a better team than AEK in the Stade Velodrome clash two weeks ago, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Both Pedro Ruiz and Azzedine Ounahi should miss out with injuries for the visiting side. In their last meeting in Athens the two sides played out a 1-1 draw.

Valentin Rongier is a French footballer, who plays for Ligue 1 side Nantes as a defensive midfielder. Rongier, who was born on December 7, 1994 in Macon (France) scored two goals in 39 appearances for Nantes B from 2013 to 2015 and he made his Ligue 1 debut with Les Canaris on October 18, 2014 in a 1-1 draw with Stade de Reims.
It has to be noted that he replaced Lucas Deaux 15 minutes before the final whistle. Over the years Valentin Rongier has established himself as a first-team regular at Nantes and you should know that he made no less than 31 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign.
On June 25, 2015 he extended his deal with the La Beaujoir-Louis Fonteneau outfit and his contract should expire on June 30, 2020. Valentin Rongier’s main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right.

AEK Athens play their home games in black shirts with yellow stripes and black shorts, while they often wear gray jerseys and yellow shorts when facing their rivals on the road.
Olympic Stadium in Athens is the club’s home ground and the venue can hold up to 69.618 people. AEK share rivalries with fellow capital clubs Panathinaikos and Olympiakos and the rivalry with Olympiakos was inflamed in 1996, when AEK former ace and then-coach joined the Thrylos. AEK have 12 Greek Super League trophies, but it has to be noted that they clinched their last domestic title back in 1994.
Speaking of the Greek Cup, the Enosis won their 15th trophy in the competition in 2016, with the team beating Olympiakos in the title game. In the 1966/1967 season AEK made it to the UEFA Cup semis, but Italian giants Juventus proved to be a big catch for the Greek side.
