Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Stadio Olimpico will host Thursday’s Europa League semifinal between Roma and Bayer Leverkusen. The Giallorossi suffered a dip in form, with the team failing to win the previous four league matches, but they are still seen as favourites to beat the Bundesliga outfit in “the Eternal City”. Both Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham should be recalled to the starting XI, while defender Zeki Celik is back from the Serie A ban.
The BayArena outfit, on the other hand, set up a meeting with Roma by outclassing St Gilloise in the double-header. Roma, though, have turned their Stadio Olimpico into a real fortress, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Jose Mourinho’s troops. All Andrey Lunev, Charles Aranguiz, and Patrik Schick should miss out with injuries for the visiting side. When the two teams met in Rome eight years ago (Champions League) Roma defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-2.
