Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Aston Villa and Bologna square off against each other at Villa Park in what promises to be one of the most exciting games of Thursday’s program. Aston Villa have yet to hit top gear in the opening rounds, with the impact of key summer departures still evident in their performances. Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott is pushing for a start as well as former Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen, while experienced midfielder Youri Tielemans is a major doubt.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to AC Milan, with the team beating Genoa 2-1 at their Stadio Renato Dall’Ara at the weekend. Bologna, though, have been struggling on the road in the new Serie A campaign and with key player Dan Ndoye joining Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, home win should be considered. All Tommaso Pobega, Nicolo Casale and Ciro Immobile remain in the recovery room for the visiting side.
