Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Hoffenheim will be aiming to put an end to their four-game winless run in all competitions when they face Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League round 2. Hoffenheim have been involved in some high-scoring games of late and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against the Ukrainian outfit. Croatia striker Andrej Kramaric faces race against clock to be fit for Thursday’s clash, while all Grischa Promel, Ihlas Bebou, David Jurasek, Finn Ole Becker, and Ozan Kabak remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Dynamo Kyiv, on the other hand, aim to recover from the round-one loss to Lazio. As the visitors are likely to stick to their attacking style of play as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Maksim Bragaru is banned for the visiting side, while fellow midfielder Volodymyr Shepelev remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury.
Highlighted Player (Pavel Kaderabek):
Pavel Kaderabek is a Czech Republic defender born on 25 April 1992, who has enjoyed a bright start to his professional career. Coming through the youth ranks at Sparta Prague and gaining some first team experience during a loan spell with Viktoria Zizkov, the right-sided defender was finally able to show what he is capable of during the 2012/2013 season and he didn’t need a lot of time to make the next step in his career.
After scoring impressive 10 goals in 76 league appearances for Sparta Prague, Kaderabek joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015, shortly after he had established himself as a starting right-back in the Czech Republic national team.
The talented footballer helped Repre make it to the Euro 2016 finals by starting 9 qualifying matches, once again proving his killer instinct by scoring two goals. Pavel Kaderabek looks set to become one of leading players of the new generation and a big club move may not be far away either.
Highlighted Team (Dynamo Kyiv):
The most successful football club in Ukraine, Dynamo Kyiv has not been relegated to a lower division since its inception in 1927. First founded as a part of the Soviet Dynamo Sports Society, Dynamo Kyiv became a member of the Ukrainian Premier League after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
Over the course of its rich history, Dynamo Kyiv has won the total of 28 national titles, 13 of which came during the Soviet era. In addition, Dynamo Kyiv won 20 national cup competitions, while it also grabbed 3 major continental trophies, including two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups. Oleh Blokhin remains to this date the most successful player of the Ukrainian giants with his 266 goals scored for the Kyiv club.
However, current Ukraine national team head coach Andriy Shevchenko is arguably the most recognisable player in Dynamo Kyiv history. Former Milan and Chelsea star scored the total of 124 goal during his two stints with the Ukrainian club.
