Our prediction for this Europa League match:
All eyes will be on Parc Olympique Lyonnais when Lyon and Besiktas lock horns in the Europa League round 3. Les Gones are eyeing their sixth consecutive win in all competitions and they must be high on confidence following a thrilling 4-0 win over Le Havre. Defender Duje Caleta-Car is back from the domestic ban, while experienced midfielder Nemanja Matic remains doubtful.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s troops, on the other hand, aim to recover from back-to-back losses to Ajax (0-4) and Eintracht Frankfurt (1-3). As Besiktas are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we are tempted to bet on over 2.5 goals. In their last meeting at the venue Lyon defeated Besiktas 2-1 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. The likes of Rashica, Uysal, and Al Musrati are out of contention with injuries, while both Gabriel Paulista and Destanoglu are major doubts for the away team.
