Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Expect a thrilling atmosphere at Stade Olympique Lyonnais when Lyon and Manchester United face each other in the Europa League quarter-finals, first leg. Les Gones aim to claim a major scalp, but they will have a big fish to fry in Thursday’s clash. Ernest Nuamah limped off with injury in a 2-1 win over Lille, with Rayan Cherki likely to step up.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, head into the match following a goalless draw with their local rivals Man City. As Ruben Amorim’s men produced a fine display in the Manchester derby, especially in the second half, we predict that they are going to beat Lyon in the first leg. Centre-forward Joshua Zirkzee is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while both Kobbie Mainoo and Matthijs de Ligt should be fit for Thursday’s showdown. In their last meeting in a competitive match (Champions League), back in 2008, Manchester United defeated Olympique Lyon 1-0.
Highlighted Player (Nemanja Matic):

Nemanja Matic is a Serbian footballer who plays for Premier League side Chelsea. The 194-cm-tall midfielder was born on 1 August, 1988 and he began his football career (youth) at Radnicki Obrenovac.
In 2005 he signed for Kolubara and after impressing with Kosice in the 2008/2009 campaign, Chelsea owners decided to sign him. Nemanja spent the 2010/2011 season on loan at Vitesse and at the end of the season he signed a deal with Portuguese giants Benfica, with David Luiz heading in the other direction.
Matic was in the form of his life in the 2013/2014 Primeira Liga campaign and he helped the Eagles clinch the domestic trophy. He rejoined Chelsea in 2014 for a fee of €25M and he helped the Blues win the Premier League title in the 2014/2015 season. Nemanja Matic has also developed into a key member of the Serbian national team that have been largely struggling of late.
Highlighted Team (Manchester United):

Over the years Manchester United have established themselves as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Red Devils have won three European Cup (Champions League) trophies and they have clinched no less than 20 Premier League titles.
A number of top-class players were part of Manchester United in the past, but, no doubt, the club’s biggest legend is coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was in charge of the team for 26 years. During Alex Ferguson’s spell at Old Trafford the club won a number of trophies, but the Red Devils have been struggling in all competitions ever since he retired. Louis van Gaal helped Manchester United win the FA Cup trophy in the 2015/2016 season, with Jese Lingard scoring the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium.
The likes of Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Eric Cantona are the football stars that graced Old Trafford for Manchester United.
