Our prediction for this Europa League match:
All eyes will be on Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium when Olympiakos and Freiburg face each other in a highly-anticipated Europa League game. The Thrylos suffered a 2-1 loss to Nantes in their opener, and, to make things even worse for the fans, they dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Volos at the weekend. The Red and Whites are eager to return to winning ways, but this will be anything but a walk in the park for the Greek outfit. Defender Ousseynou Ba is back from suspension, while Sime Vrsaljko has overcome his injury.
The German side, on the other hand, head into Thursday’s Europa League game following a goalless draw with Borussia M’gladbach. Christian Streich’s men defeated Qarabag in their first group game, but beating Olympiakos in Piraeus is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the horizon. Both Holer and Sallai should miss out with injuries for the away side.
