Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
A spot in the FA Cup last 32 will be at stake when Bristol City and West Ham United lock horns at Ashton Gate Stadium in the replay. The Robins aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Preston and a win over West Ham will see them put an end to their four-game winless run in all competitions. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but all Mark Sykes, Kal Naismith, Rob Atkinson, and Ayman Benarous remain in the recovery room.
Meanwhile, the Hammers were not in action in the Premier League at the weekend, meaning that tired legs should not prove to be a big problem for David Moyes’ team. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in London in the original fixture, but we are tempted to put our money on the well-rested visitors this time out. Both Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd are on international duty, while both Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio miss out with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Nathan Baker):
Nathan Baker is a product of Aston Villa football academy. The left-footed defender played 115 games for Aston Villa in the league and it has to be noted that he scored only goal for the club during his spell at Villa Park. Nathan Baker is used as both centre-back and left-back and the 189-cm-tall footballer is very good in the air.
Nathan Baker was born in Worcester, England on April 23, 1991 and he currently plays for Bristol City in the Championship. After ending his loan spell with the Robins, he signed a permanent deal with the club on July 28, 2017 for an undisclosed fee. Nathan Baker has yet to make his debut for England national team, but he has three caps for England U21 team.
Nathan Baker made his debut for the under-21 squad against Iceland back in 2011. The English footballer has a contract with Bristol City which expires on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (West Ham):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals.
A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
