Guatemala will be aiming to book their spot in the Gold Cup knockout stages when they take on Guadeloupe in their final group game. La Furia Azul proved their worth in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Jamaica, but Panama proved to be a big catch for Luis Fernando Tena’s troops. Anyhow, away win should be considered as a triumph over Guadeloupe should see Guatemala advance to the quarter-finals. There are no fresh injury worries in Tena’s team ahead of the decider.
Les Gwada Boys, on the other hand, failed to impress in back-to-back defeats to Panama (2-5) and Jamaica (1-2). Given Guadeloupe’s shaky defence, we predict that Guatemala are going to pick up all three points from Wednesday’s clash. In their last meeting at the Gold Cup, Guatemala defeated Guadeloupe 3-2 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. Florian David is widely expected to sneak into Guadeloupe's starting eleven.
