Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Monday’s football game at United Park pits together Drogheda and Longford, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table ahead of Matchday 13. Drogheda are eyeing their fourth consecutive league win, and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach in Monday’s clash. Even though defender Luke Heeney misses the game through suspension, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts, who have already found their form.
Longford, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only seven points in total to date. Daire Doyle’s troops failed to find the net in back-to-back defeats to Sligo Rovers (0-2) and Bohemians (0-2), and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Drogheda’s party at United Park. Attacker Karl Chambers is widely expected to return to Longford’s starting line-up.
