Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
After failing to win the last three league matches, Shelbourne will look to get back on course when they take on Sligo Rovers on Friday evening. The Reds have been struggling in front of goal of late, but they are still seen as favourites to beat the Bit O’Red in front of home fans. All Patrick Barrett, Conor Kane, and Kian Leavy are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
Sligo, on the other hand, suffered four defeats in the previous five league fixtures and given their difficulties on the road, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. Both Clancy and Bolger limped off with injuries in a 2-0 loss to Bohemians, with Lafferty and Browning likely to step up. In their last meeting in the Irish top flight Shelbourne recorded a routine 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers.
