Our prediction for this Ireland Premier Division match:
Regional Sports Centre will host Friday’s football game between Waterford and Cork City, the two relegation-threatened teams. Waterford are sitting in 8th place in the standings, seven points clear of bottom two and, no doubt, they are desperate to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Shamrock Rovers (0-1) and Derry City (2-7). A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Padraig Amond, who scored a brace in the last league match.
Cork City, on the other hand, are in far deeper trouble than Waterford in the fight to avoid the drop. The Rebel Army are stuck at the bottom of the table with only 15 points on their account and given their dreadful losing run on the road, we are tempted to place our bets on the home side. To make things even worse for the away team, defender Charlie Lyons is out of contention through suspension.
