Aviva Stadium will host Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Serbia. The Boys in Green are still eyeing their first win of the process as they played out a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan at the weekend. Republic of Ireland footballers are low on spirits ahead of the visit of Serbia, which is probably the main reason why home win should not be considered. Norwich City attacker Idah should continue to lead the line for the hosts, while Dara O’Shea remains in the recovery room.
Dragan Stojkovic’s men, on the other hand, did well to overtake Portugal in top position thanks to a 4-1 win over Luxembourg. Since all Serbia key players are fit for Tuesday’s showdown, we believe that punters can find value in betting on the Group A leaders. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Fulham attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who just can’t stop scoring for the national team.

Originating from Belfast, Jonny Evans is one of the most famous football players from the new generation of the Northern Ireland national team, although numerous injuries prevented the centre-back from showing all he’s got.
Coming through the famous Manchester United youth academy, Evans was promoted to the senior set up by club icon Sir Alex Ferguson and he would go on to lift four Premier League trophies with the Red Devils, making over 130 league appearances for the club before moving to West Bromwich Albion in 2015. During his time at Old Trafford, the defender usually played back up to Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, but made quite a few appearances in important games, including 31 Champions League outings.
As soon as he was given a chance to impress at Manchester United, Evans was called to the Northern Ireland national team and he has made over 40 appearances on international stage since 2006, helping his country qualify for the Euro 2016 finals.

Serbia have been playing as an independent nation since 2006. The Serbs made it to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals and despite defeating star-studded Germany in the group stages of the showpiece tournament in South Africa, they eventually failed to book their place in the last 16. The Eagles, though, failed to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as they experienced all sorts of problems in their qualifying group.
A number of top-class footballers played for Serbia and former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is regarded as one of the best players in the history of the Serbian national team. Vidic scored two goals in 56 appearances for Serbia and he announced his retirement from the national team on 24 October, 2011.
