All eyes will be on KSU Stadium in Riyadh when Inter and Lazio lock horns in the Italian Super Cup semis. The Nerazzurri rolled over Monza 5-1 in their last league match, with the team retaining top position in the Serie A and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win Friday’s showdown. A man to keep an eye on in Simone Inzaghi’s team will be Lautaro Martinez, who scored a brace against the Biancorossi, while Juan Cuadrado remains on the sidelines with injury.
The capital club, on the other hand, survived Lecce at the weekend to move closer to the Champions League berth. Lazio, though, often struggle in matches away from Stadio Olimpico, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. That proved a very good investment as Calhanoglu continued the rich vein of form, and it is now a matter of time before he joins one of European powerhouses.
The midfield maestro had a bright start to his career in the Turkey national team, scoring 5 goals in first 16 caps, and chances are he will become a leader for Milli Takim in the foreseeable future.
