Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Burton Albion and Ipswich Town go head to head at Pirelli Stadium in what is expected to be a close encounter. Burton desperately needed a win against Gillingham, and they managed to get one thanks to Hayden Carter’s goal. Despite the victory, the Brewers remained in the ultimate position in the standings. Burton are determined to move away from the relegation zone, and we are positive that they will fight tooth and nail against the Tractor Boys.
Ipswich Town are only one point behind the playoffs berth, and seeing that they are likely to go for a win in Saturday’s clash as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Burton suit Ipswich, and it has to be noted that the Tractor Boys emerged triumphant in each of their previous three meetings with the Brewers in the English third tier.
Highlighted Player (Ryan Edwards):
Despite being born in Singapore on November 17, 1993, Ryan Edwards is eligible to represent Australia in international matches. The 175-cm-tall midfielder has 18 caps with Australia U-23 and it has to be noted that he played for the Socceroos at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Speaking of his club career, Edwards is a product of AIS, the high performance sports training institution from Australia, but in 2011 he was spotted by Reading scouts.
Ryan Edwards played for the Royals at senior level, making seven appearances for the club in the league. The Australian international whore Perth Glory (loan), St. Mirren (loan), Partick Thistle and Heart of Midlothian shirts as well before signing a deal with Burton Albion in 2019.
He made his debut with the Brewers in the League One on August 3, 2019 in a 1-0 loss to Ipswich Town. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of producing fine performances at both central and right midfield as well.
Highlighted Team (Ipswich):
Ipswich Town are an English football club that was formed in 1878. Portman Road has been the home ground of Ipswich Town since 1894 and the capacity of the venue, which was expanded in 2002, is 30,311. The Tractor Boys compete in the Championship, but they used to play in the English Premier League in the past as well. Ipswich Town last appeared in the elite division in the 2001/2002 season.
Ipswich won the FA Cup in 1978, with the team beating Arsenal (1-0) in the title game. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1981 when they outplayed AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup final. It has to be noted that the Tractor Boys have yet to suffer a loss at home ground in the European competitions.
Norwich City are regarded as Ipswich Town’s bitterest rivals and it is well known that the two sides take on each other in the East Anglian derby.
