Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Cardiff City will be looking to kick off their Championship campaign in style when they welcome Peterborough to the Welsh capital on Saturday. The Bluebirds have set their sights on securing promotion this term, but it’s worth noting that the board has kept a rather quiet profile in the summer transfer market. Still, Erol Bulut can count on a settled squad that proved solid at home last season, and with the backing of the Cardiff City Stadium crowd, anything but a home win would be a surprise.
Peterborough, meanwhile, are back in the second tier, but their defensive display in the final warm-up game raised some eyebrows. A 3-2 defeat to League Two outfit Grimsby exposed serious problems at the back, and facing a physical, well-drilled Cardiff side could spell further trouble. On a more positive note, summer recruit Declan Frith is pushing for his competitive debut in a Posh shirt. However, with Cardiff looking more balanced and battle-ready, and we predict that they are going to pick up all three points from Saturday's clash.
Highlighted Team (Peterborough):

Founded in 1934, Peterborough United are a professional club that competes in the League One. The Posh play their home games at London Road Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 15,314. Peterborough’s home colour is blue, whilst the colour of their away kit is blue. The Posh have the third kit as well where yellow and black are the dominant colours.
Peterborough United’s biggest success came in the 1964/1965 when the club booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Chelsea, though, proved to be a big catch for the Posh, beating them 5-1 in London. It has to be noted that Peterborough United made it to the Football League Cup semis in the 1965/1966 season, with the team losing to WBA in the two-legged tie.
The likes of Cambridge United and Northampton Town are considered the club’s main rivals. The Posh have built a rivalry with Huddersfield Town, with fans seeing MK Dons as rivals as well.
