Our prediction for this League 1 match:
After playing out a goalless draw with Bristol Rovers at the weekend, Fleetwood Town will be aiming to return to winning ways in the League One when they take on Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday. The Fishermen are eyeing their first home win since November 21, 2020, and you should bear in mind that they failed to find the net in the previous three home games. Joe Coleman is injured for the hosts, while Charlie Mulgrew is banned for the match.
The Donny, on the other hand, are on a five-game winning run in the League One ahead of the trip to Lancashire, and seeing that Fleetwood have been struggling in front of goal of late, we are tempted to put our money on the visitors. Both Tyreece John-Jules and James Coppinger are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Josh Morris):
Josh Morris is a product of Blackburn Rovers football school who plays for Fleetwood Town in the League One. Morris’ main position is left midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both left-back and central midfielder as well.
The English footballer started his senior career at Blackburn Rovers and he played for the likes of Yeovil Town, Rotherham United, Carlisle United and Fleetwood Town on loan before moving to Bradford City in the summer of 2015. Josh Morris, though, found his best form at Scunthorpe United, scoring 35 goals in 107 appearances for the club in the league.
Before the start of the 2018/2019 League One season Morris re-joined Fleetwood Town, signing a two-year contract with the Fishermen. Josh Morris scored his first goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Peterborough United at Weston Homes Stadium. His contract with Fleetwood Town should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Doncaster):
Based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Doncaster Rovers are an English football club that compete in the League One. Keepmoat Stadium is the club’s home ground. The venue was opened on August 3, 2007 and it can hold up to 15,231 spectators.
Doncaster Rovers footballers wear white shirts with red stripes and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas the club’s away colours are dark blue and red. Speaking of the Rovers’ history, the club was established back in 1879 by Alber Jenkins, who worked as a fitter at Doncaster’s Great Northern Railway.
Doncaster Rovers shared the spoils with Rawmarsh in their first ever game. The likes of Rotherham United, Barnsley, Grimsby Town and Scuntorpe United are considered the club’s main rivals. Over the years Doncaster fans have developed a rivalry with Plymout Argule as there have been fireworks in their games. Donny Dog, that wears a red and white jersey, is the club’s mascot.
