Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Portman Road will host Saturday’s football game between Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic, the two teams who are stuck in the middle of the table ahead of ultimate round. The Tractor Boys missed out on a spot in the playoffs, and given their five-game winless run, home win should not be considered. All Edwards, Jackson, Edmundson, and Evans continue to miss out with injuries, while the likes of Bonne, Celina, and El Mizouni are pushing for a start.
The Red Robins, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Cambridge United and Shrewsbury Town, and we predict that they will take advantage of Ipswich’s anything but good form. Ryan Inniss has served his ban, while Sam Lavalle remains on the sidelines with injury. In the first half of the season Charlton defeated Ipswich 2-0 in London.
Highlighted Player (Vaclav Hladky):
Born in Brno on November 14, 1990, Vaclav Hladky is a Czech footballer who plays for Scottish Premier League club St Mirren as a goalkeeper. Hladky spent his youth career at the likes of FC Sparta Brno, FK Sardice, and FC Zbrojovka Brno, and he continued playing for the Zbrojovka Brno reserve team at the senior level.
The 192-cm-tall shot-stopper played for the likes of MSK Breclav (loan) Sparta Brno, FK Sardice, FC Zbrojovka Brno (senior team), and Slovan Liberec before signing a contract with St Mirren. The Czech goalkeeper made his Scottish Premiership debut on January 23, 2019, in a 4-0 loss at Celtic.
Hladky played for the Czech Republic youth teams as well, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the Czech Republic senior team. Vaclav Hladky wears the No. 1 shirt at St Mirren, and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Charlton):
Charlton Athletic are yet another capital club that will compete in the 2019/2020 Championship season. Founded back in 1905, the Red Robins welcome their opponents at the Valley, the stadium which can hold up to 28,111 spectators. Charlton Athletic wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Winning of the 1946/1947 FA Cup trophy is considered the club’s biggest success. The Red Robins defeated Burnley 1-0 in the title game, with Chris Duffy scoring the winner for Jimmy Seed’s charges in extra-time.
Fellow capital clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall are regarded as Charlton’s fiercest rivals, whilst Samuel Bartram, who made 579 appearances for the club is one of the most famous footballers who played for the Valley outfit. The club based in London will compete in the English second tier in the 2019/2020 season following a three-year absence.
