Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Brisbane Road will host Monday’s League One game between Leyton Orient and Peterborough United, the two teams who were beaten by Lincoln and Carlisle respectively on Matchday 41. The O’s aim to keep their playoffs hopes and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Posh. Idris El Mizouni limped off with injury in the last league match, with Ethan Galbraith likely to replace the Tunisia international in the starting eleven.
Peterborough, on the other hand, produced an under-par performance in the 3-1 loss to the rock-bottom Cumbrians, which is probably the main reason why away win should not be considered. Taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. All Will Blackmore, Jeando Fuchs, and Jacob Wakeling remain on the sidelines, but the good news for the visitors is that Hector Kyprianou is back from suspension.
Highlighted Player (Jonson Clarke Harris):
The Leicester born striker started his career at Coventry City, joining their youth academy at the age of 15. Harris, who holds both the English and Jamaican citizenship, chose to represent the former but is yet to feature for any of England's international levels. He made his first professional debut on the 10th of August 2010, in a 2-0 League Cup loss to Morecambe, a feature that made him the youngest player to ever appear for Coventry.
After successive loan moves where he made little impact, Harris left the Sky Blues to join Oldham Athletic in May 2013 on a year-long contract. His excellence earned him the Young Player of the Season award and a high profile move to Rotherham United at the end of the season in a deal worth 350,000 euros. After several inconsistent performances, Harris left the Millers.
He then went on to play for MK Dons and Doncaster on loan before re-joining Coventry for a second spell where-in he helped the club in promoting to League One. Born on the 21st of July 1994, the 25-year-old is known for his physicality and hold-up play and currently plies his trade for Bristol, whom he joined at the start of 2019.
Highlighted Team (Leyton Orient):
Leyton Orient are the League Two side that welcome their rivals at Brisbane Road. The stadium, which was built and opened in 1937, can hold up to 9,271 people. When playing at Brisbane Road, the O’s wear red shirts and red shorts, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
Southend United are regarded as the club’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the A13 derby. Leyton Orient have the rivalries with the likes of West Ham United, Millwall, Brentford, Dag & Red, and Barnet as well. The O’s registered their biggest win on November 12, 1955 as they crushed Crystal Palace 8-0.
Speaking of the club’s heaviest defeat, Leyton Orient were beaten by Aston Villa 8-0 in the FA Cup round 4 on January 30, 1929. Leyton Orient have four London Challenge Cup trophies (1912, 1972, 1973, and 1993), with the team clinching the Dubonnet Cup title in 1911.
