Tuesday’s football game at LNER Stadium pits together Lincoln City and Bolton Wanderers, the two teams who were involved in high-scoring games at the weekend. Lincoln recorded a 2-1 win over Fleetwood at the weekend, with Bolton playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw with MK Dons. After ending his loan spells with Yeovil Town, Watford, and Stockport County, the 175-cm footballer signed a five-month contract with Brighton where he established himself as a first-team regular.
After making 132 appearances in the league for the Seagulls, Liam Bridcutt moved to Sunderland in the winter of 2014. He played for the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers as well before joining Lincoln City in January, 2020.
His main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. The Lincoln City player has a dual citizenship (Scotland/England), and it has to be noted that he has two caps with the Scotland national team.

Bolton Wanderers were formed as Christ Church Football Club back in 1874 and three years later they adopted their current name. The Trotters currently compete in the Championship and they play their home games at Macron Stadium, which was opened in 1997.
Speaking of the club’s trophies, Bolton Wanderers won the FA Cup on four occasions (1923, 1926, 1929 and 1958), but they have yet to win the Premier League title. The Trotters were producing splendid displays in the 2003/2004 Premier League campaign, with the team finishing the season in eighth position in the standings, which is regarded as the club’s best result in the English top flight.

Nigeria international Jay-Jay Okocha is one of the most notable footballers who played for Bolton and he scored 14 goals in 124 appearances in the league for the club. Bury are considered the club’s fiercest rivals.
