After playing out a goalless draw with Ipswich Town at Portman Road, Oxford United will be looking to start a new winning run in the League One when they take on Portsmouth in the League One round 31. The Yellows are only three points behind the playoffs berth, and you should bear in mind that they are after their sixth consecutive win on home soil. Both James Henry and Olamide Shodipo should be recalled to the starting XI.
The Pompey, on the other hand, suffered yet another dip in form, with the team losing to both Bristol Rovers and Blackpool in the previous two league fixtures. Portsmouth midfielder Michael Jacobs is rated doubtful for the match, but there are no other injury concerns in the away team. James Henry was born in Reading on 10 June, 1989, but he grew up in Woodley. He began playing football at his home-town club Woodley Saints, but he made progress during his spell at Reading’s youth academy. Henry is a winger who is capable of playing as a centre midfielder as well, but he failed to score for Reading in 10 league appearances for the club.
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Norwich City and Millwall, he signed a permanent deal with the Lions on 28 July, 2010. Henry signed a three-year deal with Millwall and he made his home debut in a 4-0 win over Hull City.
It has to be noted that Henry played for both Scotland and England at youth level in the past, but he has yet to make his debut for the first team. Henry was born in England, but his parents are Scottish and, as a result, he is eligible to play for both England and Scotland.

During Milan Mandaric’s era at the club, Portsmouth played an important role in the Premier League, with the team finishing their debut season (2003/2004) in the 13th position in the standings.
