Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Following a thrilling 4-1 win over Northampton Town, Reading will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Mansfield Town on Matchday 23. The Royals have regained a much-needed confidence and a triumph over Mansfield will see the finish the season in top six. As Louie Holzman is back from suspension, home win should be considered once again. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Yellows, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Rotherham United and Peterborough. Mansfield Town have a chance to move closer to the playoffs berth, but given Reading’s excellent display in the Boxing Day triumph, home win should definitely be considered. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Will Evans, who scored a brace against the Posh.
