Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Wycombe and Bristol Rovers square off against each other at Adams Park in what is expected to be an interesting League One game. The Chairboys aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ipswich Town, and a triumph over Bristol Rovers could see them climb to the playoffs places. Gareth Ainsworth is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated the Tractor Boys, meaning that experienced forward Sam Vokes should once again start from the bench.
The Pirates, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Port Vale and Charlton Athletic. Bristol Rovers are eyeing a spot in the playoffs as well, and seeing that only one point separates the two teams in the League One table, the share of spoils is on the cards. As for the away side, John Marquis should be recalled to the starting XI after scoring a brace as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
Highlighted Player (Sullay Kaikai):
Sullay Kaikai is an English footballer who plays for Blackpool as a winger. Kaikai is a product of Crystal Palace football academy and it has to be noted that he made three appearances in the league for the Eagles before starting his loan spell with Crawley Town.
The 182-cm tall footballer, who is capable of playing as both winger and attacking midfielder, then signed a loan deal with Cambridge United where he scored 5 goals in 25 appearances in the league. Sullay Kaikai played for the likes of Shrewsbury Town, Brentford and Charlton Athletic before moving to Netherlands.
Kaikai, though, made only six appearances for NAC Breda in the Eredivisie before returning to England. Sullay Kaikai signed a two-year deal with Blackpool in July, 2019 with an option of a further year. The Blackpool winger was born in Southwark, London on August 26, 1995.
Highlighted Team (Bristol Rovers):
Established back on August 1, 1883, Bristol Rovers are one of the oldest clubs in the League One. Bristol Rovers were formed after a meeting at the Eastville Restaurant under the name of Black Arabs after the Arabs rugby team.
This name, though, lasted no more than one season as the club was renamed Eastville Rovers in 1884. Five years later the club’s name was officially changes to Bristol Rovers. Nicknamed the Pirates, Bristol Rovers welcome their opponents at Memorial Stadium Horfield, the venue with the capacity of 12,296. Bristol Rovers are well known for their blue and white home kit, but they are dressed in yellow when playing on the travels.
Ricky Lambert, who used to play for the likes of Southampton and Liverpool in the Premier League, is regarded as one of the club’s most notable footballers. It has to be noted that Lambert scored 51 goals in 128 appearances for the Pirates in the league.
