Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Saturday’s football game at Adams Park pits together Wycombe and Ipswich, the two top-table sides. The Chairboys are two points behind the playoffs berth, but beating the in-form league leaders is easier said than done. There are no fresh injury concerns in the home team, but experienced Wales forward Sam Vokes should be recalled to the starting XI. The Tractor Boys, on the other hand, are determined to return to the Championship.
Ipswich Town proved their worth in a 2-1 win over Peterborough, and given Wycombe’s ups and downs in the English third tier, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on the visiting side. Defender Janoi Donacien limped off with injury after just 19 minutes at the weekend, with Kane Vincent-Young likely to step up. Greg Leigh has overcome his injury, but Marcus Harness remains in the treatment room.
Highlighted Player (Sullay Kaikai):
Sullay Kaikai is an English footballer who plays for Blackpool as a winger. Kaikai is a product of Crystal Palace football academy and it has to be noted that he made three appearances in the league for the Eagles before starting his loan spell with Crawley Town.
The 182-cm tall footballer, who is capable of playing as both winger and attacking midfielder, then signed a loan deal with Cambridge United where he scored 5 goals in 25 appearances in the league. Sullay Kaikai played for the likes of Shrewsbury Town, Brentford and Charlton Athletic before moving to Netherlands.
Kaikai, though, made only six appearances for NAC Breda in the Eredivisie before returning to England. Sullay Kaikai signed a two-year deal with Blackpool in July, 2019 with an option of a further year. The Blackpool winger was born in Southwark, London on August 26, 1995.
Highlighted Team (Ipswich):
Ipswich Town are an English football club that was formed in 1878. Portman Road has been the home ground of Ipswich Town since 1894 and the capacity of the venue, which was expanded in 2002, is 30,311. The Tractor Boys compete in the Championship, but they used to play in the English Premier League in the past as well. Ipswich Town last appeared in the elite division in the 2001/2002 season.
Ipswich won the FA Cup in 1978, with the team beating Arsenal (1-0) in the title game. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1981 when they outplayed AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup final. It has to be noted that the Tractor Boys have yet to suffer a loss at home ground in the European competitions.
Norwich City are regarded as Ipswich Town’s bitterest rivals and it is well known that the two sides take on each other in the East Anglian derby.
