Our prediction for this League 2 match:
AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage take on each other at Plough Lane in the League Two round 22. The Dons have been in a fine form of late, with the team winning three of their last five league fixtures, while sharing the spoils with Salford and Swindon. AFC Wimbledon aim to stay in the playoffs race, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against Stevenage.
Keep in mind, though, that all Brown, Jaaskelainen, Osew, Nightingale, and Young-Coombes have been struggling with injuries of late. The Boro, on the other hand, aim to stay in automatic promotion berth, and seeing that they will go for a victory as well, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Kane Smith has overcome his injury, but Elliot List remains on the sidelines for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Will Jaaskelainen ):
Will Jaaskelainen is a Finland international who plays for Crewe Alexandra as a goalkeeper. Jaaskelainen started his youth career at Bolton Wanderers, but he made his senior debut with his current club. The Finnish shot-stopper played for the likes of Loughborough Dynamo, Nantwich Town, Buxton, and Chester on loan as well before returning to Crewe Alexandra.
Will Jaaskelainen has one cap for the Finland U19 national team, with the talented goalkeeper making his Finland U21 team debut in a 2-0 win over Ukraine on September 6, 2019. Speaking of his League Two debut, Jaaskelainen played his first match for the Railwaymen on April 19, 2019, in a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town.
The Crewe Alexandra shot-stopper wears the number 1 jersey, and his preferred foot is right. Born on July 25, 1998, in Bolton, Will Jaaskelainen is the son of former Bolton Wanderers and Finland goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
