Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Following a goalless draw with Leyton Orient, Port Vale will look to return to winning ways in the League Two when they take on Scunthorpe on Matchday 29. The Valiants do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team collecting only one point from the previous four league fixtures, but they are still seen as favourites to win Saturday’s clash. Defender James Gibbons, who limped off with injury in the last league fixture, is unlikely to feature against Scunthorpe.
The Iron, on the other hand, are on a five-game losing run in the English fourth tier ahead of the trip to Stoke on Trent. Scunthorpe have been struggling at the back of late, meaning that Port Vale will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the League Two. A man to keep an eye on in the away side will be talented midfielder Sam Burns, who scored a brace in the loss to Bristol Rovers.
