Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Brest will be looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Monaco when they take on Dijon at Stade Francis-Le Ble on Matchday 28. Les Pirates failed to win the previous three league fixtures, but it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course. Both Bain and Herelle are injured, but there are no suspended players in the home team. You should know that Brest are eyeing their eighth home win of the season.
Les Hiboux, on the other hand, are running down a blind alley, with the team losing each of their last seven league matches. Since the rock-bottom side experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to PSG, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. Aboubakar Kamara is banned, while Didier Ibrahim Ndong remains quarantined for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Ludovic Baal):
Ludovic Baal is a left-footed football player who was born on May 24, 1988. Baal was born in Paris, but he is a product of the Le Mans youth academy and it has to be noted that he made 12 appearances for the club in his first season with the MMArena outfit.
His main position is left-back, but he is capable of playing as a left midfielder as well. Considering that he is a French-born player, Ludovic Baal was illegible to play for both France and the French Guayana national team.
Baal decided to represent French Guayana on international stage and he made three appearances for the team in the group stages of the 2012 Caribbean Cup. He found the net in a 4-1 win over Anguilla, with Gary Pigree scoring a hat-trick for French Guayana. Ludovic Baal currently play for Rennes as a left-back and his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit expires on June 30, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Dijon):
Founded in 1998, Dijon is a result of a merger between two local clubs. The Mustards played their first ever match in the Ligue 1 on August 7, 2011, with the team suffering a heavy 5-1 loss on their debut in the French top flight. After suffering relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2011/2012 season, the club returned to the French elite division in 2016.
The Mustards finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign in 16th place in the standings, only one point clear of the relegation zone. Dijon are well known for their red jerseys, while they wear white when playing on the road. The Mustards welcome their rivals at Stade Gaston Gerard, the venue which was both built and opened in 1934. In the 1998/1999 season the club recorded a historical 12-1 Coupe de France win over Mahault Baie and that is considered the club’s biggest ever win in a competitive match.
Stephane Mangione, who made 181 appearances for the club, is regarded as one of the team’s famous players.
