Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lens, Olympique Lyon will be aiming to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they welcome Metz to their Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Matchday 2. Les Gones have big ambitions for the 2025/2026 season, but they need to keep on making progress to book their spot in the Champions League. Tyler Morton should keep his place in the starting XI, while fellow summer signing Pavel Sulc is pushing for his full Ligue 1 debut.
Les Grenats, on the other hand, failed to impress in their season opener, with the team losing to Strasbourg in front of home fans. As Metz had no more than two goal attempts against Le Racing, we predict that Olympique Lyon are going to pick up all three points from Saturday’s clash. To make things even worse for the visiting team, midfielder Jessy Deminguet picked an injury at the weekend.
