Wednesday’s football game at Stade Louis II pits together Monaco and Auxerre, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. Monaco aim to represent France in the Champions League, while Auxerre’s main goal is to secure the Ligue 1 survival. Les Rouges et Blancs rolled over Ajaccio 7-1 in their last home fixture, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Auxerre.
Breel Embolo should be recalled to the starting XI after coming as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Marseille, while Kevin Volland is unlikely to be risked in the midweek game.
