Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
David faces Goliath at Stade Louis II as Monaco and Metz go head to head in the Ligue 1 round 5. Les Rouges et Blancs aim to build on back-to-back wins over Strasbourg and Auxerre and we predict that they will stick to their attacking style of play in Sunday’s encounter. A man to watch in the home team will be Takumi Minamino, who scored the opener against Auxerre at the weekend, while both Ansu Fati and Paul Pogba are major doubts due to the lack of fitness.
Les Grenats, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only one point in the process to date. Metz are not regarded as good travellers and given Monaco’s fine form in early September, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Monte Carlo.
Highlighted Player (Breel Embolo):

Born in Younde, Cameroon on February 14, 1997, Breel Embolo is a striker who plays for Bundesliga side Schalke 04. Embolo began his youth career at Nordstern back in 2008, but two years later he moved to Old Boys.
In 2010 the Switzerland international joined Basel and he continued playing for the RotBlau at senior level. After scoring 21 goals in 61 appearances for the club in the Swiss Super League, Breel Embolo signed a five-year deal with Schalke 04 in June, 2016 for a fee of €20 million.
The Schalke striker made his Bundesliga debut on August 27 in a 1-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt. Speaking of his international career, Breel Embolo has four caps for Switzerland U21 team and he made his senior debut on March 31, 2015 in a 1-1 draw with United States of America. Embolo is very powerful striker, he is technically strong, he has explosive pace and a composed finisher.
Highlighted Team (Metz):

Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference).
However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club.
Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
