Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Friday’s football game between Nice and Rennes will open round 16 of the new Ligue 1 campaign. Les Aiglons survived Corte in the Coupe de France and they now on a quest to return to winning ways in the national championship. Yael Nandjou is banned following his sending-off in the French Cup triumph, while fellow defender Jonathan Clauss serves a one-game ban due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
Les Rouges et Noirs defeated Angers 2-0 in their last league match, but seeing that Nice are tough to beat at their Allianz Stadium, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Rennes defender Alidu Seidu remains on the sidelines with injury, while Amine Gouiri faces race against the clock to be fit for Friday’s encounter. You should know that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of their last two meetings in the French top flight.
