Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
There will be fireworks when St. Etienne and Olympique Lyon square off against each other at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in the Derby du Rhone on Sunday evening. Les Gones dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Lorient, and, no doubt, they will give 100% to return to winning ways. Emerson is banned for the hosts, while Dembele, Kadewere, Gusto, Slimani, Denayer, Boateng, and Pintor are all out of contention with injuries.
Since the visitors will be without important attackers in the local derby, a low-scoring affair is on the cards. Les Verts, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Nice. St Etienne have yet to record a win at home ground this season, but they are surely capable of holding the hit-by-injuries visitors to a draw. All Yvann Macon, Alpha Sissoko, and Aimen Moueffek remain on the sidelines through injuries for the home side.

Highlighted Team (Lyon):
Commonly referred to as Lyon, Olympique Lyonnais is the French club which play their games at the Parc Olimpique Lyonnais with a capacity just a pinch short of 60,000. Lyon is one of the most popular clubs in France with a vast fan base on par with Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille.

It was not until 2002 that Lyon won their first ever Ligue 1 title which sparked an ongoing national record-breaking streak of seven successive titles. During that time Lyon were regular participants of the UEFA Champions League. The French club reached quarter-finals on two occasions, while they even played in the semi-finals in the 2009-10 season.
