Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
After failing to spoil Lille’s party at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, St Etienne will be aiming to escape bottom three when they face Rennes in a highly-anticipated relegation six-pointer. Les Verts are eager to put an end to their four-game winless run and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against les Rouges et Noirs. Defender Dylan Batubinsika is banned for the home side.
Rennes, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Strasbourg and they managed to get one. Les Rouges et Noirs aim to give fans yet another reason to celebrate, but with St Etienne being tough to beat at home, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Lilian Brassier has joined the Dogan Alemdar and Alidu Seidu in the recovery room, while defender Hans Hateboer misses out through suspension, speaking of the visiting team.
