Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Strasbourg will look to make amends for a 3-0 loss to Monaco when they take on Toulouse on Matchday 3. Le Racing struggled at the back in the Stade Louis II clash, but they are surely capable of matching les Pitchouns in front of home fans. Mehdi Chahiri is out of contention through illness, while all Eduard Sobol, Maxime Bastian, and Moise Sahi Dion remain on the sidelines with injuries.
Toulouse, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with reigning champions PSG. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and, taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the cards at Stade de la Meinau. All Junior Flemmings, Naatan Skytta, Oliver Zanden, and Ibrahim Cissoko are out of contention through injuries, speaking of the visiting team. Thijs Dallinga is widely expected to lead the line for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Habib Diallo):
The Senegalese forward started his football journey at Generation Foot in Darkar before leaving Senegal to join French club FC Metz in 2013. At Metz, Diallo spent his initial two years developing and playing for the reserves. He made his professional debut on the 1st of August, 2015, in Metz's 0-0 draw with RC Lens.
Later in the season, he scored his first professional goal, which came in a 2-1 away loss to Nimes Olympique on the 22nd of February, 2016. Diallo went on to make over 80 appearances for Metz before leaving the club in 2017 to join Brest on an initial one month loan, which later extended to become a season-long loan.
At the end of the 17/18 season, Diallo returned to Metz and has featured for them since. On the International forefront, the 6ft striker who is known for his heading and physicality made his debut for Senegal on the 17th of November, 2018, in an African Cup of Nations qualifier game against Equatorial Guinea.
Highlighted Team (Toulouse):
Toulouse are a professional football club that compete in Ligue 1. Les Pitchouns are well known for their purple jerseys with white stripes and it has to be noted that they used to wear red and yellow jerseys in the past. Toulouse welcome their opponents at Stadium Municipal and the capacity of the team’s home ground is 33.150. Stadium Municipal was used as a venue for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
In 1982 the club secured promotion to the Ligue 1 for the first time ever and you should bear in mind that the likes of Jacques Santini and Daniel Jeandupeux were part of the team. A win over Napoli in the round 1 of the 1986/1987 UEFA Cup is considered one of the club’s biggest success as football legend Diego Maradona played for the Italian team back then, attacker Daniel Jeandupeux scored the winner for Toulouse in the penalty shoot-out. Bordeaux are regarded as the club’s fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in Derby de la Garonne.
