Our prediction for this MLS match:
DC United play host to FC Dallas at their Audi Field in what is expected to be an interesting Major League Soccer game. The capital club defeated the likes of Nashville and Minnesota United in the previous two league fixtures, which is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Sunday’s encounter. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be former Liverpool forward Christian Benteke, who has been scoring goals for fun of late. Both Conner Antley and Russell Canouse remain on the sidelines with injuries.
The Toros, on the other hand, aim to move closer to the playoffs berth, but given their poor away record in the 2024 MLS campaign, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Benteke and Co. Croatia forward Petar Musa is back from suspension, while the likes of Asier Illarramendi, Liam Fraser, Jesus Ferreira, Patrickson Delgado, Paxton Pomykal, Alan Velasco, and Geovane Jesus remain in the recovery room, speaking of the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Christian Benteke):
Christian Benteke, born on 3th of December 1990 is a Belgian football player with roots from Congo. Benteke started his career at KRC Genk and after playing for Standard Liege, KV Mechelen, KV Kortrijk and Aston Villa the striker got transferred to Liverpool. Benteke is 191cm and is known for being a very strong goal scoring striker. In May 2010 Benteke made his debut for the Belgian national team.
Christian Benteke didn’t win any mayor prices yet. In the season 2008/2009 he won the national league of Belgium. Benteke is signed by Nike and got transferred to Liverpool for 46 million euro which makes him the second most expensive football player from Belgium. Benteke’s nickname is The Beast or Bentegoal.
Highlighted Team (FC Dallas):
Despite making it to the 2010 MLS Cup final, Dallas eventually failed to win the domestic trophy. The Toros (Bulls) were beaten by Colorado in the final played at BMO Field in Toronto and you should bear in mind that the Rapids scored the winner in the extra time.
That was the first and only time Dallas participated in the MLS Cup final, but in 2016 the club won the Supporters’ Shield and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Toros play their home games at Toyota Stadium, the venue that was opened in August, 2005. The stadium’s original name was Pizza Hut Park, but in September 2013 it was renamed as Toyota Stadium after Pizza Hut Park left as a main sponsor.
FC Dallas wear red shits with white stripes when playing at home, while their secondary colors are white and blue. Former Ajax and River Plate ace Mauro Rosales, who joined the Toyota Stadium outfit in 2016, is regarded as one of the club most significant stars.
