Our prediction for this MLS match:
Minnesota United will be aiming to put an end to their eight-game winless run when they take on DC United at Allianz Field. The Loons do not seem to be at their sharpest and given their shaky defence, home win should not be considered. Teemu Pukki is pushing for a recall to the starting XI, while the likes of DJ Taylor, Moses Nyeman, Will Trapp, Clint Irwin, and Hugo Bacharach continue to miss out with injuries.
The capital club, on the other hand, defeated Nashville 2-1 at home in their last league match, but given their five-game winless run on the road, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. The opposition back-line should have Cristian Dajome at bay as the 30-year-old scored a brace in the last MLS game. The likes of Kristian Fletcher, Jackson Hopkins, Steve Birnbaum, Conner Antley, and Russell Canouse are sidelined with injuries for the away team.
Highlighted Player (Christian Benteke):
Christian Benteke, born on 3th of December 1990 is a Belgian football player with roots from Congo. Benteke started his career at KRC Genk and after playing for Standard Liege, KV Mechelen, KV Kortrijk and Aston Villa the striker got transferred to Liverpool. Benteke is 191cm and is known for being a very strong goal scoring striker. In May 2010 Benteke made his debut for the Belgian national team.
Christian Benteke didn’t win any mayor prices yet. In the season 2008/2009 he won the national league of Belgium. Benteke is signed by Nike and got transferred to Liverpool for 46 million euro which makes him the second most expensive football player from Belgium. Benteke’s nickname is The Beast or Bentegoal.
Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):
Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.
Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.
Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
