Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Nashville, Philadelphia Union will look to climb to second place in the Eastern Conference when they take on New York City on Sunday. Philadelphia are eyeing their fifth consecutive win in front of home fans, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Forward Julian Carranza is banned for the match, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Blue Pigeons, on the other hand, are not enjoying a season to remember, with the team sitting in 13th place in the standings ahead of the trip to Philadelphia. Given Union’s fine winning run at home ground, we predict that the visitors are going to return to New York empty-handed. The good news for the visiting side is that midfielder James Sands is back from international duty. The 23-year-old, though, should start from the bench.

The 193-cm-tall shoot-stopper spent three years playing college football and in 2014 he signed a professional contract with Philadelphia Union.
Andre Blake made his debut for the U in July 2014 in a friendly game against Crystal Palace and he played his first MLS match against Montreal Impact. Speaking of his international career, the goalkeeper made his Jamaica debut on March 2, 2014 in a 2-0 victory over Barbados. Later that year Andre Blake won the Caribbean Cup with the Reggae Boyz as they defeated Trinidad and Tobago on penalties in the title game.
Over the years Blake has established himself as a first-team regular and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of him. The Philadelphia Union shoot-stopper wears the number 18 on his shirt.
