Our prediction for this MLS match:
Real Salt Lake will be aiming to build on back-to-back wins over St Louis City and DC United when they take on Minnesota United on Sunday. The Royals have been impressive in front of goal of late and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against the Loons. All Bryan Oviedo, Erik Hold, and Zack Farnsworth are out of contention with injuries, while Marcelo Silva is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
Minnesota United, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Montreal, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Real Salt Lake. All Kemar Lawrence, Robin Lod, Mikael Marques, Ryen Jiba, and Bakaye Dibassy are out of contention through injuries, speaking of the away team.
Highlighted Player (Justin Meram):
Over the years Justin Meram has established himself as one of the best Iraqi footballers. The centre forward, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, was born in Shelby Charter Township, Michigan on December 4, 1988, but he represents Iraq on the international stage.
During his college career Justin Meram played for the likes of Yavapai Roughriders and Michigan Wolverines and in 2011 he joined MLS club Columbus Crew. Meram scored 37 goals in 188 appearances for the club in MLS before signing a deal with Orlando City in January, 2018.
The Iraq international made his debut for the Lions in a 1-1 draw with DC United on March 4 and he scored his first goal for the club on May 14 in a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United. As for his international career, Justin Meram made his Iraq debut in November, 2014 in a 1-0 defeat to Kuwait. The Orlando City attacker wears the number 9 shirt.
Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):
Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.
Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.
Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
