Our prediction for this MLS match:
Sporting Kansas City and Los Angeles FC take on each other at Children’s Mercy Park in what is expected to be a close Major League Soccer game. The Wizards aim to build on a thrilling 4-1 win over Austin, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive win in front of home fans. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Alan Pullido, who has netted four goals so far this term, while all Ndenbe, Zusi, Russell, Melia, Agada, Pierre, and Thompson-Ford remain in the recovery room.
Los Angeles FC, on the other hand, do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team suffering a heavy 4-0 loss to Houston Dynamo in their last away game. Given Sporting Kansas City’s excellent winning run on home soil, we predict that the visitors are going to return to California empty-handed. The likes of Timothy Tillman, Sergi Palencia, Aaron Long, Kellyn Acosta, and Maxime Crepeau remain in the treatment room.
Highlighted Player (Carlos Vela):
Over the years Carlos Vela has established himself as one of best Mexican players. Vela was born in Cancun, Mexico, on March 1, 1989 and he played for Guadalajara before joining Arsenal youth school in 2005. The pacey left-footed winger played only 29 games for the Gunners in the Premier League before signing a deal with Real Sociedad.
Carlos Vela played for the likes of Celta Vigo, Salamanca, Osasuna and WBA on loan as well before joining the Basque outfit. Nowadays, the Mexican forward is a Los Angeles FC player and it has to be noted that he scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the club in the 2018 MLS Season. He is naturally gifted player, quick, intelligent and with very good technique.
Carlos Vela did well to win two CONCACAF Gold Cups with Mexico national football team (2009, 2015) and he was named Real Sociedad player of the year in the 2011/2012 and the 2013/2014 seasons. His main position is right winger, but he is used as a second striker and a centre-forward as well.
Highlighted Team (Sporting Kansas City):
Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties.
The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz.
The Wizards wear navy blue shirts and dark blue shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue. Former Wigan Athletic man Roger Espinosa is regarded as one of the club’s most notable players and he has been playing for the Children’s Mercy Park outfit since 2015.
