Buoyed by a 2-1 win over Latvia, Moldova will be aiming to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Liechtenstein on Sunday. The Moldovans are eyeing their third consecutive win of the process, and the bookies see them as hot favourites to beat the rock-bottom side on home soil. A man to watch in the home team will be Dunajska Streda attacker Ion Nicolaesu, who scored his 4th goal of the process in Thursday’s clash.
The visitors, on the other hand, are having a campaign to forget, and given their five-game losing run in Group 1, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. When the two teams met at Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz earlier in the process Moldova defeated Liechtenstein 2-0, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.

Veaceslav Posmac is a Moldavian footballer who was born in Chisinau on November 7, 1990. The right-footed defender currently plays for Sheriff Tiraspol as a centre-back, but he started his senior career at Stantul Gheorghe. It has to be noted that he played for his home-town club Dacia Chisinau from 2012 to 2017.
Veaceslav Posmac made his Sheriff debut on July 9, 2017 in a 5-0 win over Zaria and he did remarkably well to score on his debut. The 188-cm tall defender plays for Moldova as well and he made his debut for the national team in a 2-1 win over Kyrgyzstan on June 14, 2013.
Veaceslav Posmac scored his first ever goal for Moldova on January 15, 2014in a 2-1 loss to Norway. The Moldavian defender is very good in the air and despite the fact that his main position is centre-back he often scores goals after set-pieces. Veaceslav Posmac wears No. 90 on his shirt.

Liechtenstein national football team are well known at the Blues-Reds. They wear blue shirts and red shorts when playing in front of home fans, whilst their second colours are red (shirts) and blue (shorts). Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz is considered the team’s home ground and the capacity of the venue is 7.584.
In 1981 Liechtenstein faced Malta in their first ever unofficial match and they shared the spoils (1-1) with the Falcons in Seoul. Speaking of their first official game, Liechtenstein suffered a 1-0 loss to Switzerland two years later and it has to be noted that the Swiss played with a severely-weakened squad. The Blues-Reds recorded their first ever win in the World Cup qualifiers on October 13, 2004, with the team rolling over Luxembourg on the road.
At the same time, that was the team’s first ever away win and, no doubt, the triumph gave the minnows a confidence boost. Liechtenstein have yet to qualify for the finals of a major tournament and they suffered their biggest loss on November 9, 1996.
