Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
There will be fireworks when Ajax and PSV square off against each other at Johan Cruijff Arena in De Topper. The Amsterdammers are high on confidence ahead of the Eredivisie derby as they rolled over Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the Champions League, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Both Klaiber and Stekelenburg remain in the recovery room, but Erik ten Hag can count on key players for Sunday’s derby.
PSV, on the other hand, came from behind to beat Zwolle 3-1 in their last league match. Roger Schmidt’s troops, though, failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to Willem II in their last away game, and given Ajax’s fine form, we predict that the visitors are going to return to Eindhoven empty-handed. All Maximiliano Romero, Ryan Thomas, Ritsu Doan, and Shurandy Sambo are likely to miss the game with injuries for the visiting team. Taking everything into account, we predict that Ajax will get their revenge on PSV for the heavy 4-0 loss in the Dutch Super Cup.
