Groningen and Feyenoord take on each other at Euroborg in what is expected to be one of the most exciting games of Sunday’s program. The Green and White Army have been showing signs of improvement of late, with the team beating both G.A. Eagles and Fortuna Sittard, while sharing the spoils with Zwolle in their last league match. Groningen, though, had no more than 8 goal attempts in the clash against the rock-bottom side, which is the main reason why home win should not be considered.
The Rotterdammers, on the other hand, rolled over Fortuna Sittard 5-0 in their last league fixture, and seeing that they are eager to stay in the title race, we are tempted to put our money on the visitors. Midfielder Guus Til is back from the Conference League ban, while Ortun Kokcu is likely to miss the game with injury.

Sergio Padt is a Dutch footballer who plays for Eredivisie club Groningen as a goalkeeper. Padt played for the likes of Pancratius, Hoofddorp, and Ajax during his youth career, but he did not see any game action with the Amsterdammers at senior level.
Following short loan spells with the likes of Haarlem and Go Ahead Eagles, Sergio Padt signed a deal with Belgian outfit Gent in June, 2011. After making 55 appearances for the club in the Belgian top flight, the Dutch shot-stopper joined Groningen in the summer of 2014. Sergio Padt did remarkably well to win the KNVB Cup with the Green-White Army in the 2014/15 season, with the team beating PEC Zwolle in the title game.
The Groningen goalkeeper, who was born on June 6, 1990, has five caps for the Netherlands U-21 team. Speaking of his senior career, he received two call-ups for the national team, but has yet to make his debut.

Back in 1908 football club Wilhemina was founded in the pub De Vereeniging and they played their home games in blue-sleeved red shirts and white shorts. The club’s name was changed to Hillesluise in 1909 and soon they became RVV Celeritas.

Feyenoord won their first Eredivisie trophy in 1924 and 75 years later they clinched their 14th domestic trophy, finishing the season 15 points clear of second-placed Willem II. It is well known that football legends Johan Cruyff, Ruud Gullit and Peter Houtman all played for Feyenoord in the past. De Trots van Zuid play their home games in red-white shirts and black shorts.
