Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
After crushing PSV 5-0 in the Eredivisie derby, Ajax will be aiming to cement top position in the standings when they take on Heracles on Matchday 11. The Amsterdammers once again proved their worth in a big match, and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of the trip to Almelo. Dusan Tadic, who put icing on the cake on a brilliant display in the Eredivisie derby with a late goal, will be the man to watch in the away team.
Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg should be the only absentee in the away team. Heracles, on the other hand, continue with their old habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, but despite their three-game winning run on home soil, we are tempted to put our money on the high-flying title holders. In their last meeting at the venue Ajax defeated Heracles 2-0, and the history is likely to repeat itself. Both Adrian Szoke and Lunding Jakobsen are rated doubtful for the hosts.
Highlighted Player (Janis Blaswich):
Janis Blawich is a German footballer who plays for Heracles Almelo as a goalkeeper. Blaswich started his senior career at Borussia Monchengladbach, make 125 appearances for the reserve team. In the 2015/16 season he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden where he made 30 league appearances.
Following his loan spell with the Yellow and Blacks, the 193-cm-tall shot-stopper moved to fellow German side Hansa Rostock, signing yet another loan deal. In 2018 he joined Dutch club Heracles Almelo, and he has been playing for the Heraclieden ever since. Janis Blaswich made his Eredivisie debut on August 11, 2018 in a 1-1 draw with Heracles, and he managed to keep his first clean sheet in the Dutch top flight the following month in a 4-0 win over De Graafschap.
The goalkeeper was born in Willich, Germany on May 2, 1991, and his preferred foot is right. Janis Blaswich wears the No. 1 shirt at Heracles.
Highlighted Team (Ajax):
Ajax is a Dutch football club that was founded on 18 March, 1900. Ajax are well known for their youth academy, which regarded as one of the best youth football schools in the world. The likes of Johan Cruijff, Edwin van der Sar, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael van der Vaart and Marco van Basten are all products of Ajax’s football academy. The Amsterdammers share a big rivalry with Feyenoord and there have always been fireworks when the two teams face each other in De Klassieker.
During the seventies Feyenoord and Ajax were the only two teams who were capable of winning the domestic trophies, while PSV have been playing an important role in Dutch football in the 21st century. PSV and Ajax are regarded as big rivals as well and the two teams square off against each other in De Topper. Ajax play their home games at Amsterdam ArenA, the stadium that was opened on 14 August, 1996. The Amsterdammers won their fourth European Cup (Champions League) trophy in 1995, beating Milan in the title game in Vienna.
