Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Goffertstadion will host Saturday’s Eredivisie game between NEC Nijmegen and Heracles, the two teams who sit in the middle of the table. NEC proved their worth in the last two league fixtures, with the team beating both G.A. Eagles and Willem II, and they are surely capable of matching Heracles in front of home fans. Since several players have recovered from their respective injuries, home win should definitely be considered.
The Black and Whites, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Cambuur. Heracles, though, have been producing poor displays on the road this season (0-1-7), which is probably the main reason why there is a big value in betting on the home side. The bad news for the visiting team is that defender Marco Rente misses the match through suspension.
Highlighted Player (Janis Blaswich):
Janis Blawich is a German footballer who plays for Heracles Almelo as a goalkeeper. Blaswich started his senior career at Borussia Monchengladbach, make 125 appearances for the reserve team. In the 2015/16 season he was loaned to Dynamo Dresden where he made 30 league appearances.
Following his loan spell with the Yellow and Blacks, the 193-cm-tall shot-stopper moved to fellow German side Hansa Rostock, signing yet another loan deal. In 2018 he joined Dutch club Heracles Almelo, and he has been playing for the Heraclieden ever since. Janis Blaswich made his Eredivisie debut on August 11, 2018 in a 1-1 draw with Heracles, and he managed to keep his first clean sheet in the Dutch top flight the following month in a 4-0 win over De Graafschap.
The goalkeeper was born in Willich, Germany on May 2, 1991, and his preferred foot is right. Janis Blaswich wears the No. 1 shirt at Heracles.
Highlighted Team (Heracles):
Heracles is a professional Dutch club based in Almelo. The club was formed back in May 1903 and named after Heracles, the demigod son of Zeus. From 1974 to 1998 the club played under the name of SC Heracles ’74. The Heraclieden’s home colours are black and white, while blue is the dominant colour of their away shirt.
Twente are considered one of the club’s main rivals in the Netherlands. Speaking of the club’s achievements, it has to be noted that Heracles have won two Eredivisie trophies (1926/27, 1940/41). In the 2011/12 season they made it to the Dutch Cup final. Heracles faced PSV in the title game, with the Dutch giants proving to be a big catch for the underdogs.
PSV won the game 3-0. In the 2016/17 season Heracles participated in the Europa League, with the team suffering elimination to Arouca in the third qualifying round. Everton is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 77 goals.
